my final logo choice

This isn't only one of the five logos I made, it's a mixture of my letterform and my wordmark, and I really like the way it turned out. I think adding "cosmetics" to it helps too because people can instantly understand what my business is.

five logos - progress....

1.) abstract mark - this is one of my favorites because its so simply cute. its one of the ones im thinking of using for my final logo.

2.) letterform - i think this is my other favorite because again, its simply cute. i think i may like the one above better still though

3.) wordform - i like this one, but i like others better because i like the lips.

4.) marks

this is my original mark idea, but i dont actually like it as much as i thought. i like the kiss mark better

i was just seeing if it would look better in black and white - it doesnt.

i think it would be really cool if this was my mark because its simple and adorable and would be awesome to be known by. but it was so easy to do because all i did was kiss a piece of paper and scan it in. so if i do use this one, its a lot of work and time wasted on all the other ones i made.

5.) emblem - i think this emblem is so cute because its just got everything goin on and i feel it works together as a whole. but then again i really like the simpler ones i have at the top...so ill probably use one of those instead.

P09A - Style Sheet

this is my style sheet now that i have gotten my kiss mark and scanned it into the computer and added it to almost all of my logo designs. im still not finished with all the font and coloring, but this is a pretty good rough draft and idea of what all my logos will look like once im done.

my company - will be named Bella Beauty, and i will sell cosmetics and probably moisturizers and some other skincare products. but it will mainly be just like a cosmetic counter.

font - bickham script pro and monotype corsiva

kissmark - on monday i will bring red lipstick to kiss a piece of paper with, then i will scan it into the computer and be using it a lot for my logos.

blush compact - will be used  in my emblem and mark

Wordmark - I think this font makes it really cute and stylish and kind of elegant. i will be changing the colors later once i can sample from the kissmark.

Letterform - i really really really like this one because of the simplicity of it. the kissmark will be behind and i may lower the opacity because i dont want it to be the focus.

Mark - this is my cosmetic blush mark. i will find a way to put the kissmark into it somehow, such as in the top right corner of the mirror maybe?

Abstract Mark - this is the other one that i really really like because its again, simple, and if this was actually a popular business, it would be a really cool mark to be known by.

Emblem - so for this, i just put everything together. its the roughest logo of the bunch so far. i'll be changing colors of font once i can sample my kissmark

P08 - PSA - REARRANGED

Johnny told me my photo didnt really work that well as a whole, so i rearranged it a bit and came up with this. i like my idea better in this one, yet the quote stands out way more in the other picture in my opinion.

week 5

this week we did a tutorial on watercolor where we made a girl look like she has very abstract colorful hair. i really really liked it, i thought it was fun and pretty easy to follow along and i really like the outcome of my work. today we got free time to work on our pages which i really liked. i also finished my valentine heart which i think turned out super cute once finished. overall - good week.

earlier this week we watched and followed a tutorial on how to make a starfield. i thought it was really cool and i learned a lot about new stuff and it was really interesting to see it develop in a way i didnt expect to turn out well. now were starting our book and its going to be fun

Week 1 - What I Learned

last class period i learned about Richard Roberts because he was the digital artist i found and did a small presentation on. his pictures were really cool because you can look at them and always find some thing new. the websites i found are on my previous post.

today we learned how to make a lens flare. it was a really cool process because you got to put your own style into and make it unique and different from everyone else's. i learned about motion and gaussian blurs, how to filter through blending modes (ctrl+) and about the smudge tool. its probably my new favorite tool cause you can do so much with it and change the look of your picture into many different things very easily.

Different Selection Tools

Quick Selection

this was probably my favorite selection tool because it actually worked and was the fastest and easiest one to use.(thats why i liked it)

Magnetic Lasso

this one was okay but i had problems making it magnify to the little girls arms and hair because they were so light.

Elliptical Marquee

this one was fast and easy and it was cool how you could like fix your mistakes with the refine edges thingy.

"Magic" Wand

using the "magic" wand was probably one of the worst experiences ive ever had in the class because like the video said its not accurate and basically doesnt do anything i want. i couldnt figure out how to make it work for the life of me, and the classmates around me had no idea why mine wouldnt work like theres did(my computer broke) and the teacher absolutely refused to help me!!! so therefore joseph's body is pretty much deformed and i basically decapitated his daughter because the "magic" wand refused to work and select what i was trying to click. it made me so frustrated i cried and had a major meltdown all because the teacher wouldnt teach me. so yeah obviously the worst possible way to select anything. i wouldnt recommend it for anyone.
